Australian Chronic Disease Prevention Alliance

The Australian Chronic Disease Prevention Alliance (ACDPA) is a group of five non-government health organisations who are working together in the primary prevention of chronic disease, with particular emphasis on the shared risk factors of poor nutrition, physical inactivity, excess weight and obesity.

We also sit on the Obesity Prevention Consensus Steering Committee. This committee has representation from groups such as the Obesity Policy Coalition, Baker IDI, Heart Foundation and Diabetes Australia. The goal is to take a national consensus viewpoint to government regarding obesity prevention.

The other members of the alliance are Cancer Council Australia, Diabetes Australia, the National Heart Foundation of Australia and The Stroke Foundation.

See more about the work of the ACDPA here.
