Kidney Health Young Adult Clinics

Our Young Adult Clinics are the first of their kind in Australia. Organised for young adults aged from 18 to 25 years who are living with kidney disease, they were established in South Australia in 2013 in partnership with SA Health.

Young adults of this age can face a difficult transitional period as the risk of transplant loss is high, so these specialised clinics were developed to help better meet their needs.

Young Adult Clinics are held off-site, outside the hospital setting. They are conducted in conjunction with free social events, which help develop peer interaction between the participants and make attending a clinic a more personable experience.

The clinics are currently being conducted in South Australia, but we are in the process of organising them in other parts of Australia.
