CKD ambassador program

The CKD Ambassador program is a Kidney Health Australia initiative designed to recognise and support health professionals implementing best practice detection and management of kidney disease in primary care. The program is built around a quality improvement framework and involves a PDSA cycle, education, tools and resources and endorsement for those completing the program.

By taking part in the CKD Ambassador Program, you benefit from:

Learning outcomes of the program

The program usually takes 6 to 12 months to complete. you should be able to incorporate may elements of it into your usual day-to-day routine.

Primary care health professionals are:

  • Supported in implementing best-practice systems to detect and manage CKD in high-risk individuals in their clinical practice
  • Provided access to tools and resources to provide best-practice CKD detection and management in high risk individuals in their clinical practice
  • Recognised as a CKD ambassador among their peers and patients as providing best practice detection and management of CKD.

Becoming a CKD Ambassador

If you're a healthcare professional interested in the Program, please complete our online application form.

Upon finishing the Program, you'll be awarded CPD points and a certificate (for you and your practice) and endorsed as an official Kidney Health Australia 'CKD Ambassador'.
