Learning aim

Provide the tools to drive the early detection of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in a primary care setting, using optimal management of CKD with a slowing or halting of disease progression.

Learning outcomes

  • Outline the importance of early detection for those at risk of Chronic Kidney Disease.
  • Describe the elements of the assessment for CKD - a kidney health check.
  • Define the treatment options to delay progression of kidney disease.
