Nelson Bay boasts an array of beaches and bays, making it is a haven for swimming, snorkelling and diving. Fly Point Aquatic Reserve is a must-visit protected aquatic sanctuary, perfect for swimming and snorkelling amongst marine life. Other popular beaches include Little Beach Reserve, Bagnalls Beach and Dutchmans Beach.
