The Rip Curl Pro held at bells is the longest running surf contest in the world, starting way back in 1961 making bells one of the most famous beaches globally.

The Point Addis Marine National Parkis a protected park covering 4,600ha of ocean and coastline. Bells Beach marks the beginning of Point Addis Marine National Park. Further along, the spectacular cliffs and ironbark forests edging the coast are part of the Great Otway National Park, whilst the adjoining rock platforms, offshore reefs and open waters are the Point Addis Marine National Park.

Torquay marks the beginning of the world class 44km Surf Coast walk. The trail’s easy access and 12 trail heads make it perfect for short, long or multi-day experiences.
