Batemans Bay

The Bateman Bay Snorkelling a stretch of stunning beaches that can be found along the coast of Batemans Bay and surrounds. The first stop on the trail is Maloney’s Beach, 12 kilometres north of Batemans Bay. The next destination is Sunshine Cove Beach, five kilometres south of Batemans Bay, and the final stop is eight kilometres south to Guerilla Bay. All locations offer spectacular colours and conditions for snorkelling where you can discover colourful reefs, seaweed beds and the marine life.

Located just 5km from Batemans Bay, these local gardens are a great place to stroll through and enjoy nature. The gardens boast an array of collections and species, walking paths, grassy areas, barbecues and picnic areas as well as a café, a gift shop and an Education Hub where visitors can use microscopes to make new discoveries. The local visitors centre can also be found in the gardens.

Compromising of 8 acres of native landscape and over 100 species of wildlife, the Birdland Animal Park is a great place for families to visit and have a hands-on experience with the animals. Facilities include large picnic and play areas, a free BBQ, kiosk and learning resources.

Only a short drive from Batemans Bay, Holmes Lookout offers spectacular views of Batemans Bay to the southeast and the Budawang Ranges to the northwest. This lookout is also notably a great spot for birdwatching, particularly in the early morning and late afternoon. Pack a picnic and enjoy the views!
