"I was diagnosed with stage four chronic kidney disease at 23, and by 26, I was in end-stage renal failure. I was transplanted in October 2018 and was very fortunate not to have been on dialysis. My transplant has completely transformed my life. Since then, I’ve returned to university, found my passion in science, and embraced advocacy work. I’ve had the opportunity to share my story through media outlets, public speaking, and writing to raise awareness about kidney health, organ donation, and the importance of systemic change. My journey has been one of resilience, growth, and a commitment to making a difference.

I live with my partner and my wonderful 13-year-old son, who inspires me every day to keep striving for a better future. I’m passionate about science, advocacy, and social justice. As a kidney transplant recipient, I use my experiences to raise awareness about kidney health and organ donation. I’ve shared my journey through various media opportunities, including news features, radio interviews, and public speaking, to help inspire others and push for systemic changes in healthcare. Recently, I’ve also embraced triathlons and competed at my first transplant games last year. I'm now in training for the World Transplant Games in Germany this year. Life, for me, is about turning challenges into opportunities to make a meaningful impact."
