Our Valued Ambassadors

Helping champion kidney disease.

Cameron Green

Australian cricketer

We are proud to announce that Cam is our new ambassador, joining us in August 2024. He hopes to raise awareness of a serious and incurable disease which so often goes undiagnosed. His primary motivation is to share his experience by helping kids and their families affected by kidney disease.

“Kidney disease is a challenge that affects many, and I hope that by sharing my journey I can support others who are facing this condition,” Cameron said. “Raising awareness and encouraging early detection is crucial in managing this condition effectively.”

Michala Banas

Actor

“My parents knew instinctively that something really wasn’t right, and thank goodness they persisted in getting me help. After the operation, the doctor told them that had they waited a few more weeks, I would’ve died.”

Michala was born with a defect in her left kidney, which wasn’t discovered until she was almost six years old. She had most of her kidney and part of her bladder removed during a marathon life-saving operation and now lives with one kidney.

Stephen Curry

Comedian and Actor

Stephen's close friend Lesley was diagnosed with kidney disease when she was just 29 years old, not long after she got home from her honeymoon. Since being diagnosed, Lesley has been on dialysis for 12 years and had over 100 visits to the hospital, while she waits for a transplant.

"Lesley's my hero. She has fought this so amazingly and to see your mate go through this constant battle that Lesley's up against, it breaks your heart."
