We deliver real policy change and improvements to the kidney community through collaborative committees and liaison with other relevant organisations within the kidney disease sector.
PEAK provides advice to Kidney Health Australia on the best practice detection and management of kidney diseases, clinical and pharmacological developments in treating kidney disease, and produces recommendations for health professionals working in primary care. PEAK is composed of nephrologists, General Practitioners, renal nurses, primary care nurses, pharmacists, consumers and educators. We thank the members of PEAK for their ongoing commitment.
The Clinical Advisory Committee is a multidisciplinary group of up to 12 members comprising some of Australia’s leading kidney health professionals and kidney consumers. The committee provide clinical and technical advice and support to the Board and team at Kidney Health Australia to be a credible voice on issues relating to kidney health and kidney disease. They will provide advice and input on implementation of the strategy of Kidney Health Australia.
We partner with the Yarning Kidneys Advisory Group to facilitate consultations with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health experts, consumers, community members, service providers and peak bodies around Australia. Our goal is to ensure clinical guidelines are aligned with community preferences and needs.
Consumers and Special Interest Groups will be engaged and/or facilitated to provide a range of consumer perspectives, personal experience and be as representative as possible of those living with kidney disease to assist Kidney Health Australia achieve its mission.
Our national Research Advisory Group is made up of some of Australia’s leading kidney health professionals and researchers, kidney consumers and people of influence. It provides ongoing input and support of Kidney Health Australia’s Research Strategy and Agenda. Together, we work to improve the lives of all people affected by kidney disease through the support of research.
Kidney Health Australia acknowledges the valuable contribution of its Clinical Youth Advisory Group. The Group not only champions the wellbeing of children and young adults affected by kidney disease, but also offers expert advice, guidance and support for across a range of unique activities and programs.
