Purpose

The Fundraising Support Volunteer helps with office administration tasks, fundraising data entry and activities that support Kidney Health Australia to raise vital funds to support the kidney community.

As a Fundraising Support Volunteer at Kidney Health Australia, you will help by performing the following duties:

• Following up supporters with letters or via phone to thank them for their contribution
• Assisting with supporter donation receipts or following up failed transactions
• Recording consumer personal information in the database
• Other duties as directed by the Fundraising team or nominated staff
• Assisting with general administrative tasks when required

Qualifications and skills

The following skills are desired for this volunteer role:

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong consumer liaison skills
• Understanding of the issues experienced by people who have or are affected by kidney disease
• Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic understanding of databases
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow directions carefully
• Ability to check back on duties and provide an update

Location and time commitment

The Fundraising Support Volunteer will be located in our Victorian Head Office which is located in South Melbourne.

Preferably 1 day a week, with flexibility.

Training and support

Appropriate training will be provided for the successful applicant. We will ensure you have all the information and support you need to be confident in this role.

To ensure we are enlisting dedicated and professional volunteers who have the skills and experience appropriate for this role, we will conduct an interview via Zoom and we will also request the following as part of our screening process:

    • National Police Check (mandatory)
    • Valid Working with Children Check (desirable)
