Our Kidney Transplant Houses are designed to help people in rural areas who live far away from treating hospitals. See if you’re eligible for free accommodation.
Thanks to the incredible support of our donors, Kidney Health Australia is able to provide free accommodation in South Australia, Western Australia, and Victoria to patients from rural and regional areas undergoing a kidney transplant.
Ultimately, we want to keep families together, and ease as much of the financial and emotional burden as we can during this time. Our Kidney Transplant Houses offer comfortable, quality accommodation where rural and regional patients undergoing a kidney transplant can rest and recover, with their loved ones close by.

Carers and families are also able to stay, although maximum occupancy rules apply for each property. Be sure to check the specifics of your nearest Transplant House when you apply. Stays are usually for 6-8 weeks but can be extended if a medical professional approves it.
