Facebook Fundraiser

Facebook has created fundraising tools that enable you to raise funds for Kidney Health Australia through Facebook. These donations will be received via a third party intermediary, the PayPal Giving Fund who collect no commission from donated funds. Receipts for donations will be issued by PayPal Giving Fund, because they are collecting and distributing these donations.

Unfortunately, as PayPay Giving Fund receive the payment, we are not provided with your contact details, so we have no way of thanking you for your generous donation. So we can thank you, we'd love you to get in touch with us on Facebook or at [email protected].

There are two ways you can easily raise money for Kidney Health Australia on Facebook:

Create a Facebook Fundraising page

Creating a Fundraising page can be a great way to celebrate your birthday, kidney-versary, or anything you like! This page is similar to a Facebook event with the addition of a goal donation amount and the ability for your friends and family to donate via PayPal or credit card on your behalf.

You can then share your Fundraising page to your friends and family on Facebook and encourage them to donate.

To create a Facebook Fundraiser, click here or follow these steps:

  1. Click Fundraisers in the left menu of your News Feed, or on a mobile device select the three lines in the top right and select Fundraisers
  2. Click Raise Money then ‘Charity’
  3. Search for and select Kidney Health Australia as your charity
  4. Fill in the fundraiser details including how much you want to donate, the date you want your fundraiser to end and a titile and description and choose a cover photo.
  5. Click Create
  6. Let us know about your generosity and get in touch on Facebook or at [email protected].

Add a donation button to your Facebook posts

The Donate button is a quick way for people to donate without leaving Facebook. You’ll be able to add the button to your posts, making it easy for supporters to contribute, in just a few clicks!

To add a donate button to your post:

  1. Click What’s on your mind? on your News Feed or timeline
  2. Click the ‘…’ button and scroll down to select ‘Support non-profit’.
  3. Search for and select Kidney Health Australia from the list of charities to support.
  4. Write a little about why you are supporting us
  5. Tag @KidneyHealthAust so we can personally thank you, then click ‘Share’
